Missionaries of Apostolic Grace (MOAG) is a lay Catholic missionary association in Apostolic Grace, which is intended to be a source of spiritual renewal within the Catholic Church for individuals and families. As the activities in MOAG are communal in nature, it will also be referred to as Missionaries of Apostolic Grace community based on the existing fellowship of its members like that of the early Christian community (Acts 2:42). MOAG aims to do everything through Apostolic Grace (Rm 1:5-6) whilst abiding within the Holy Catholic Church (Gal 2:9) whilst being obliged to “remember the poor” (Gal 2:10). For these purposes we are also registered as a charity in different countries.
All the members are to commit themselves regular prayer and reading of sacred scripture. They are to also keep in mind the Words of Jesus to his disciples – “So you also, when you have done all that you were ordered to do, say, “We are worthless slaves; we have done only what we ought to have done!”” (Lk 17:10) and adopt the attitude of St. John the Baptist – “He must increase, but I must decrease.” (Jn 3:30)
Mission
A Christian witness in imitation of Christ, whilst sharing the Word of God, also reaches out in mercy to the least fortunate in the society. Thus, by integrating preaching the Word of God and charitable works, each member aims to live in their present state of life always open to the Grace of God. This is done in fellowship with others in the Catholic communion whilst engaging in the spiritual journey through Mother Mary to Jesus, to receive sanctification and eternal life (Romans 6:22). Apostolic Missionaries have to reflect Acts 2:42 – “They devoted themselves to the apostle’s teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers.”
